Monochrome Monday - 03-23-09: Ups and Downs

Monochrome Maniacs explore black and white.

I had a lot of fun with this photo of Pioneer Place mall in Portland. There are places where you can see 5 escalators at once. I loved the lines of this one but wasn't happy with the B & W, it seemed too harsh. But then I just played with it and added a reflection to create an Escher-esque effect.

The subject by itself is perfect.
The artistic touch is really creative. Well-done, Terri.

It would have been fine in mono but I have to admit you have done a great job.

I've been there before, many years ago. Great effects on this shot.

Awesome! It reminds me of those drawings that lead you all over and yet, you know not where you started!

It is a bit overwhelming at first, but it settles in nicely. Great shot.
