Skywatch Friday 12-19-08

The sky and weather have been very finicky here in Portland this week. We've got an arctic cold mass trying to nudge into the city, but apparently some maritime mass from the ocean is keeping it at bay. Too bad, I was looking forward to at least a few inches of snow hanging around for the week. Maybe tomorrow. For now, it snows like mad, then warms up and rains and melts, then freezes and snows like mad, then warms up and rains....ad nauseum.

So this morning we had a little of this, blanket of gray:

Yes, at least you was able to see blue sky - we haven't seen blue in quite some time here in SE MO and that's all I asked for, not all this ice! hehehe
