Looking at the Sky on Friday 06-05-09: The Gathering Storm

Photobucket hosted by Tisha

We had a doozy of a storm this afternoon - rare for these parts. About 4pm the sky darkened, then the wind started up, then lightning and very heavy rain for about an hour. I tried to capture lightning, but it was evasive!

The wind blew the birch trees sideways.

Lightning is really hard to catch. I love these clouds, and the lighting is so dramatic.

I love stormy weather! When it's stormy out, I love to sit outside and watch, listen and smell the rain.
The photos really share the storm.

Nifty storm photo series! We've had storm clouds but they pass us by leaving no rain behind ... unfortunately.
Hugs and blessings,
