Ellipsis - Monday Photo Shoot: RED

Carly from Ellipsis chose RED as our theme this week. I can't seem to stay out of the second hand stores around town. Such interesting stuff, and often displayed in creative and fun ways. I found lots of red at this one. I avoided the obvious hearts and flowers for the most part.

Oooo la la.

Kermit, cross dressing?

Red is so cheerful this time of year, plus perfect for Valentine's Day. Aren't second-hand shops fun? If I could only just look without taking stuff home. LOL

These are simply fab!

My faves are the pin cushions and the "ooh la la". The cushions are the exact kind my mom used, and passed on to me. You made it look like a basket of fresh tomatoes.

The sexy one can surely be the cover of a Valentines Day Card!

Love,
Nancy

Hi Terri :)

Oh my goodness, this entry made me smile this morning! The tomatoes brought me a smile because they are one of those things that was around when I was a little girl that hasn't really changed. My mom had them, my aunts, neighbors and there they are serving the same purpose all those years later. Fantastic!

All of the photos in the series are wonderful, but I was also drawn to the little lady frog... she is so stylish, good for her, and Nancy is so right, the bustier is ooh-la-la!

Well done!

Always, Carly

I love the first picture. My grandmother had one of those 'tomatoes'.

I loved you beautiful red's. If I didn't know that was Kermit, I'd swear that gut was mine. LOL

Wow, what great red items! Love the great red bustier and funny Kermit. The red tomato pincushions were everywhere at one point! Neat shots!

Mike - I don't know that that's wrong, but if I were you, I'd mention it to my therapist. :o)

I love the pin cushions...my mom had one that had an attachment that you could use to sharpen your needle...kind of like a knife sharpener...you stick the needle through it a couple times and you were off.
