Sepia Scenes 02-18-09: Sternwheeler

Sepia Scenes is hosted by Mary T, who also hosts the fabulous Ruby Tuesday.

The Sternwheeler Columbia Gorge on the Willamette River in Portland. There are several of these old boats that cruise up and down the Willamette. I thought a nice old fashioned sepia would render this something Mark Twain might approve of. (That's snow falling in the foreground.)

What style and class you show in the paddlewheel craft. The sepia makes the picture come alive...like we might be in the 1880s. This is much more grand that the worb 'boat' should apply to this beauty!

Oh I think Mark Twain would more than approve!
This really suits the sepia tone. I can imagine ladies in long dresses with lots of ruffles.

Perfect choice for sepia! I bet they're great fun for a ride on a warm summer's day too.
