Nature Notes is the brainchild of Rambling Woods who challenges us to "look at something you might never had paid attention to..a flower…a plant..an animal…What changes are taking place?..Is your garden starting to come to life again?"
I took this first photo a couple of weeks ago. It's an epimedium (aka Bishop's Hat) in our front yard. I love the delicate pink flowers.
The second photo was taken yesterday. Now the beautiful heart-shaped leaves dominate and all but hide the flowers.
I don't think I would have noticed how quickly this plant transforms if I hadn't been paying attention and photographing it.

Love the delicate beauty of this plant ~ both leaves and flowers! Magic with the drop of rain on it! Delightful photos!
So pretty! I love watching the transformation of flowering plants too :)
So lovely ... delicate and hearty ... ;-D
What a beautiful plant! And I love the way you've photographed it, up close and with the pretty raindrops. I've never seen that plant. Thanks for sharing it!
WOW How beautiful. Do you use special effects to get such great photos?
Your macros are always amazing. I see what you mean...one day there are little flowers here and there and all of a sudden Mother Nature says "let there be green" and all the leaves sprout...Wonderful post for Nature Notes..Thank you.. Michelle
Thanks everyone! moosh - no special effects, just a macro setting on my camera.
Those are beautiful photographs. I love that plant and you showed it off so well here.
Lovely photos. I like taking photos of the same place or thing over time to see how it has changed.
