Today's Flowers - 04-13-09
Well, it's spring and the flowers are bursting open everywhere I look. So here's a new weekly meme just for the flowers! Today's Flowers hosts can be found here.
This was taken a couple of weeks ago, rather than today. The Ribes sanguineum or red-flowering currant is just about done blooming now. This rufous hummingbird came by several times a day to dine on the good stuff.

A beautiful flowering Currant and superb photo of the Hummingbird.
Oh - I forgot to look at the flowers! My focus went directly to the Hummingbird!

Great capture. Hummingbirds are wonderful, and challenging, subjects.
What a wonderful photograph. That hummingbird is a lovely addition, though the flowers alone would make this shot. The two together? Fantastic!!!! Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful shot, love the hummer!
This bird is so cute.Nice shot!
What? You have hummingbirds already? Wow!
The red-flowering currant is gorgeous! I wish it were a hardier plant so I could grow it.
Very beautiful..
Love the flowers of the currant and of course the Hummingbird!
Thank you for sharing this great picture with us!
Awwwww!!!! I photographed the same brush in my father's garden, BUT WITHOUT THE HUMMINGBIRD! Beautiful!
