Sepia Scenes 04-01-09: More fun at the train station
Sepia Scenes is hosted by Mary T, who also hosts the fabulous Ruby Tuesday.
This week I spent some time in Portland's train station, a sprawling old building that has all marble walls and floors and a very old fashioned look to it. I had a great time shooting photos. And my mind was seeing sepia everywhere!
I spotted this old coin operated scale near one of the gates:
Had a little fun with half-sepia:
At some point, someone tucked a little message inside the scale. Hard to say how long that's been there.

What a lovely series of pictures of this train station. These old buildings are so filled with possibilties.
This being a train station and your sepia treatment transported me to a time that I only see in the movies.
Cool shots, Terri. Definitely work well with sepia.
These are some great photos...I love the coin operated scale and the message to travelers!
Just wonderful .. I love the sepia and I am sure they'd look good in BW too ... excellent shots ...
Beautifully done - the shots, the series as a whole, the sepia, the processing, all of it.
What fantabulous shots & all so clear - Great sepia too! I love them all!
Incrediblly beautiful as far as train stations go and the sepia effect is just perfect!
Amazing photos! And that message is for all the world that passes through that station! Happy Sepia Scenes! :)
I love the scale and the message in it!! And the half sepia really works!!
The marble walls work perfectly with sepia. A classic train station, with beautifully tiled floors and gorgeous woodwork on the benches. Classic style always wears so well!
Beautiful, beautiful sepia scenes! It seems like a lovely and interesting place. Thank you for sharing.
These are wonderful sepia photos, very nice!
Your pictures are gorgeous! That old train station is really beautiful. I guess that was back in the days when they built things right.
I love those scales pictures! I also love dropping by on Wednesday nights, to see your beautiful sepia shots!
Well done again!
A lovely sepia scene. The train station was a perfect subject - so many possibilities there! The scale was great fun and I am glad you thought to include a photo of the message too.
