I took a photography class at the Oregon Zoo this morning. This little guy was pretty shy, but he came out in the sun for awhile. I like the shadow his quilled body makes on the wall. This is a prehensile tailed porcupine. He can't throw his quills like western porcupines can.

What a great shot! I love the Oregon Zoo and wish I could have taken a photography class there. This is just perfect!
How 'kewl' to take such a class. Makes me wonder if one is offered in MY area? Nifty shot. Hope he didn't throw a quill at YOU ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
Oh, this one is super! How many of us can find a porcupine, and then have him oblige with a shadow!
That's a great place for a photo class! Yes, I DO like the shadows of the quills on the wall.

Now that's a prickly shadow! Very Cool.
Now that's a new one on me, never heard of this kind of porcupine with a prehensile tail...cool shot, cool class!
How cute! I wish we had a zoo here in my city.
Just as well he can't throw his quills! He's so adorable though, isn't he? Don't you just want to hug him? Maybe not.
Awww...what a cutie that porcupine is. I've never seen one of these creatures in real life, and I think I've only seen pics of brown coloured ones. I really like him and his shadows. How fun to be able to take a photography class at a zoo. I'd love to do that!
i wouldn't shake hand with him/her! :)
Great shot. Even with all those quills, he looks huggable! Hmmm... but I wouldn't try it. We'll just do an "air hug."
What a cool spiky shadow!
awwww! isn't he cute? love the shadow he makes too!!
Wow! a really cool photo :)
