Nature Notes 05-21-09: Study in Dandelion

Nature Notes is the brainchild of Rambling Woods who challenges us to "look at something you might never had paid attention to..a flower…a plant..an animal…What changes are taking place?..Is your garden starting to come to life again?"

They may not be welcomed additions to the springtime garden, but they are fascinating!

Wonderful! I LOVE the third one, with the seeds flying away. Great, original take on a subject we so often overlook.

Your photos are stunning.

Although we usually think of dandelions as invasive pests, when I was little, I thought they were beautiful. My grandfather probably thought so too ---he used to make dandelion wine.

Oh my gosh...these are so amazing. The detail...I love that you took something that we don't like and made it beautiful...I added your link to the main post as long as the linky isn't working....Michelle

Fabulous shots, Terri! I have no phobias about dandelions - I'd prefer them to the Spanish needles we're plagued with! :-)

Just gorgeous!
