Sepia Scenes 05-27-09: Carousel

Sepia Scenes is hosted by Mary T, who also hosts the fabulous Ruby Tuesday.

I had a vacant midway all to myself at the Rose Festival carnival. Lots of opportunities for up-close photos (until I was escorted off the property - oops).

I love the sepia possibility of this. Carousels, by definition, are so colorful. Love the unexpected switch here.

What a set of beautiful shots. It looks so much like our carousel in Spokane.Looff Do you know if it's a Looff?

I LOVE caroussels, and I love the nostalgic feel with the sepia. Nice work Terri!

kden -- this carousel looks much smaller and definitely not as elegant as the one in Spokane. And it's a traveling one. I don't know from Looff. I have more shots of it I'll post later in full color.

Thanks visitors! I had fun with these shots.

The sepia adds that period look, as if the photo could have been taken in 1909. The carousel looks wonderful and fun...

You were caught by a property guard? I also experience that, but I already took lots of photos..I just show them to delete two photos but I think I got 100 shots already...c",)

By the way the images are great. The color in sepia like monochrome really emphasize each tone of colors

Oh, that is cool! How did you manage to get it all to yourself?

We have a local amusement park here, with one of the few all-wood merry go rounds left in the country, and I have always wanted to get some good pictures of it -- but it's always full!

The carousel is brilliant in sepia! Beautiful tones and even the shine on the horses is highlighted!
