Macro Monday - hosted by Lisa
OK, I debated whether posting a duck's butt would be appropriate, but Lisa posted photos of HER OWN EXCISED RIB for god's sake!!! After it had been in the freezer for SIX YEARS!!! I KNOW! How's that for the ewwwww factor?
So I feel totally justified in presenting this cute little D.A. (for those who were born after, say, 1960 - a D.A. was a really bizarre haircut that delinquent and delinquent wannabe boys used to wear - D.A. being short for Duck's Ass, cuz that's sort of what it looked like, all swept up in back, but with product. Lots of product. Really I think the technical term for it was Duck Tail. End of history lesson).
Plus the front end of the duck was a little blurry. You've gotta work with what you've got.
I love the feathers and the little foot in the water. As always, for your total enjoyment, click on the photos to enbiggen them.
Now, I always complain when magazine ads only show parts of women's bodies, it seems so exploitative. So in fairness to the duck, here's the whole hog.

Awhhhh, this is so sweet. He is such a beautiful little duck too.
Gorgeous photos of this cute duck !!
What a cool one!
That explanation made me grin big time. I had never heard of it before :D
Thanks ;)
(Happy Macro Monday!)
Charming view. :)
CUTE!
I'm joining Macro Monday for the first time today.
I hope to see you around. :)

Well you know I'm a waterfowl enthusiast, so I loved these!!!
You bet...a duck's behind is nowhere near as "ewwey" as Lisa's rib :-)
What an odd duck! (Had to say that...I've just never seen one this color before!)
And yes...no one can post anything ickier than Lisa's rib photo! I would never in a million years have expected that!
And I love these photos...I think duck's butts are probably one of the less gross butts in the world!
And if you are interested, my Macro Monday post is here:

What a cute little duck butt! Love the coloring. :)
:) You crack me up wondering about the appropriateness of a duck butt. :) Too funny! :)
So Lisa, would that be a butt crack up? but not a quack up.
beautiful! soft and ethereal looking, these are very soothing photographs.
lovely texture and color!
I enjoyed the history lesson AND the beautiful pictures in this post! And um, it's no where near inappropriate!
I love it! Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I really like this D.A. much better than the greasy kid stuff ones. He's a pretty little duck, too!
The subtle colors in the feathers are really pretty.
Lovin' Macro Mondays,
