Our Round Robin challenge this time is to photograph something not of the season -- something that looks or feels a little out of place for the time of year.Here in the northern hemisphere it's the middle of winter. We've had some sunny days here in Portland, but it's been bitter cold and windy. Last weekend we went out for breakfast and I noticed two young women wearing thongs (no, not those kind! the ones also known as flip-flops).

Toe-cicles for sure. Why do kids do stuff like that? I like me toes warm and toassty in the winter. But I am older than dirt.

The photo that really impressed me is the one of someone in the background with a warm boot on and in the foreground the girls with flip flops! HOW do they do it?!?

I love these photos! I guess someone thought it was more important to show off her tattoo than to have warm feet, but what is her friend's excuse? Thanks also for confirming that I'm not the only person who thinks of "thongs" at something to be worn on the feet in summer!
