Ellipsis - Monday Photo Shoot: Young'uns

Carly from Ellipsis asked: Grab your cameras and show me some YOUNGINS'. Kittens, puppies, baby birds, baby carrots, baby elephants, seedlings, a new moon, human babies and children, anything or anyone that is currently in its YOUTH will do.

Well. Since my partner does family child care here four days a week, I am surrounded by young'uns and all the accouterments. They are always a fun and easy subject for a photo shoot.

This week's offering also coincides with the nap theme of a couple of weeks ago. Laurie brought Ms P out to my studio to watch some of the inauguration festivities Tuesday. Ms P is the consummate nap fighter; I think she just doesn't want to miss anything in this interesting world! But sometimes, sleep catches her off guard, in the middle of exploring something or moving around.

She slept like this for about twenty minutes. Neither of us wanted to move her since her naps are so rare.

Edited 01-23-09 to add a few more photos of young'uns.
A day in the life....

This one needs a clever caption - suggestions?

Check back on Carly's site Sunday for other Photo Shoot offerings.

Head first into dreamland... is there any better way to go to sleep? (BIG >HUGE< SMILE)

Well done!

Always, Carly

Such cute pictures of the youngins, especially Ms P. How funny that she was sound asleep in that position. You never know with babies! LOL!

I like the nap shot. My kids have done some strange thing like that too. I completely understand why you wouldn't want to wake her.

Oh, these are wonderful! I especially love the first one and the last two. What a position to nap in! Caption: "Excuse me...."
